No account, because the work happens on your device

This is not a trial with a wall at the end. Background removal, click-to-grab selection, splitting by colour, the brush and lasso tools, and every export run locally in your browser. There is no account gate because there is no server doing the work — the segmentation model downloads once and runs on your machine.

Nothing uploads, so nothing has to be deleted

The strongest privacy promise is the one you do not have to trust: on the free tier the image is never transmitted, so there is no copy to retain, leak or delete. The paid server features are opt-in, each labelled with a credit cost before you press it, and anything they do send is deleted within 24 hours. EXIF and GPS data are stripped on import regardless.

What you get out

A real layered file, not a preview. PSD with named layers, groups and non-destructive masks that opens in Photoshop, Photopea, Affinity, GIMP and Krita — plus ORA and a PNG-stack ZIP with a manifest. Nothing is ever watermarked, and nothing is quality-reduced at the size you are working at.

The one limit, stated plainly

Signed out, pictures are worked at up to 8 megapixels — about 3464×2309, which prints well at 11×7 inches. A free account removes that and works at your picture’s full resolution. For comparison: remove.bg returns 0.25 megapixels free and charges for full resolution, and Photoroom caps the free export at 1500 pixels on the long edge and puts a watermark on it. This is roughly thirty times remove.bg with no watermark, before you have signed up for anything.

What the free tier will not do

The strongest object detection, the hair-and-fur subject model, occlusion fill behind a removed object and the print-ready separation render run on servers and cost credits. Signing in grants a batch of them free, no card. If you only want a flat image separated into layers, you will not need any of it.
